BRANSON, Mo., January 16, 2013 – The Branson area, with its two world class Bassfisheries Table Rock Lake and Bull Shoals Lake, is one of the top bass fishing destinations in the world for bass fishermen and national Bass Fishing Tournament circuits such as BASS, FLW and PAA. Brian Foster, who teaches Government at Branson High School decided to combine a lifelong love of bass fishing with “coaching” to give the students of Branson High School an opportunity to experience the world class bass fishing that is available locally.

The result is his faculty “sponsorship” of the newly formed Branson High School Bass Fishing Club (BHSBFC) which was started about two months ago and has grown to about 15-20 members who meet regularly with the club. Buster Loving is the club’s President and Garrison Gathis is its Vice President. In addition to meetings, Foster hopes to get the kids out bass fishing on a regular basis with the assistance of local bass guides and organizations like the Central Pro-Am Association who is working closely with the club.

Mike Webb the owner of the Central Pro-Am Association (CPAA), a well known regional bass fishing tournament organization and K.A.S.T. (Kids Are Special Too), a fishing program for kids dedicated to offering an outdoor alternative to drugs, said that the CPAA wanted to help sponsor and work with BHSBFC and share the experience of Bass fishing with them. “This is really exciting; being able to help these kids fish and compete is why we started the program. In addition, thanks to CPAA sponsors like Bass Pro, Branson Tourism Center and Branson.Com, the club is receiving a donation of $250.00 in cash from CPAA and a $250.00 gift card from Bass Pro Shops,” he continued.
