Central Pro Am Tournament Association Announces High School Fishing Funding
Ozark, MO – January 3, 2013:
Central Pro Am Tournament Association announced today a plan to help support High School fishing programs throughout Missouri and Arkansas.
The plan provides $250 to one local High School fishing program from every Central Pro Am qualifying tournament of the 2013 season including the recent kickoff event on Table Rock Lake in December. “We have supported youth fishing for decades with K.A.S.T. (Kids Are Special Too) and felt it was time for Central Pro Am to do something as well.” Central Pro Am owner Mike Webb said. “The increased number of High School fishing programs has given us an opportunity to do more to support youth fishing. Funds will come from the profit Central Pro Am makes at each event; there will be no effect on angler payback at any of our events.”
High Schools with a fishing team or fishing program are encouraged to contact Central Pro Am Association if they would like to be considered eligible for the funding. High Schools must have a bona fide fishing team or fishing program to be eligible to receive consideration, a detailed description of the program, number of students involved, faculty or parents involved and a brief description of how the money will be used should be sent to email@example.com . “We don’t want to make this difficult on the school or those involved, we simply need an email describing their program and we will add them to our list of eligible schools.” Webb said. “We will select one school at every qualifying event and award the funds after the tournament is finished.”
“This is an opportunity for Central Pro Am to support fishing at the grass roots level.” Webb stated. “Our next generation of anglers is in high school now and we all need to do more to support these programs. Hopefully the donations made by Central Pro Am will help schools encourage more kids to get into fishing.”
